Does Home-Style Dining Include Mice & Roaches?

The Kansas City Missouri Health Department has temporarily closed Waid's Restaurant at 1130 W. 103rd St.

The restaurant was closed late Monday afternoon for several critical violations including live roaches and rodent infestation.

According to the food establishment inspection report, two dead mice and one mouse still alive found on glue trap in kitchen area. Mice droppings were found in dry stroage areas in back and next to dishroom. Multiple live roaches were found crawling in cabinets and on kitchen walls. Multiple dead roaches were found on glue traps and all over the kitchen floor.

Waid's, a home-style restaurant chain has been serving breakfast, lunch and dinner for more than 50 years. Maybe it is time to retire this eatery.
