Burger King Allowed to Stay Open After Mouse Found

Noted gourmet restaurant chain Burger King recently had a little problem at a location in Montgomery County Pennsylvania. It seems a customer at the Burger King at Easton and Edge Hill Roads in Abington, was enjoying his whopper, when suddenly he spotted two mice near his table. He called the Montgomery County Health Department. An inspector did find mice in the dining area, but:

"The inspector did not see mice in the food preparation area." Health Department spokeswoman Harriet Morton says because no imminent health threat was found, the restaurant was allowed to remain open.

Burger King corporate spokesman Keva Silversmith says the mice are gone now.
"They found a hole in the wall where they believe the mice were coming through, patched that area, immediately brought in an exterminator, and then within 24 hours after that, the health department had come out and gave the restaurant an entirely clean bill of health."
