New York Man Finds Mouse Droppings In His Burger King Breakfast Sandwich.
DAYTON, Ohio- Reginald Butler says he’ll never eat at a Bayside New York fast food restaurant again after finding mouse droppings on his breakfast sandwich.
Butler said he has not decided if he is going to sue Burger King at 222-10 Northern Boulevard over the contaminated food discovered. Butler, 33, who lives in Suffolk County, works for a utility company in Bayside and frequented the restaurant often. Hee found suspicious pellets attached to the bun of his egg and cheese sandwich.
“I felt sick, disgusted and shocked and I immediately showed the sandwich to my co-workers,” he said. He then showed the droppings to the Burger King manager, who only said, “Oh my God” and wanted to take the sandwich from him.
Butler, however, kept the sandwich for evidence, which was later analyzed by the Associated Analytical Laboratories in Manhattan. He called his employer and told him he was going to Jamaica Hospital for treatment. That same day he reported the incident to the city through its 311 service, which then reported it to the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (Bureau of Food Safety and Community Sanitation). Butler was examined in the emergency room for symptoms of severe nausea and anxiety and was released the same day.
